Individual Therapy

Come start the journey of finding the ideal ratio of milk and sugar in your life’s tea.

“When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone.”
-Fred Rogers

People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons.

Maybe you are tired of your own BS and are finally ready to make lasting change.
Perhaps, your romantic relationships, family connections, or friendships are lackluster, unfulfilling, or even absent and you’re ready to set yourself up for relationship success.
With all of the changes the world has gone through lately, you may have gone through major (or even minor) life *things* and now feel like old patterns that you had once resolved are coming back to haunt you and want to figure out how to resolve them in this chapter of your life.
Maybe you’re really tired of moving through the world the way that you have and want help figuring out why you’re doing what you do, how to heal and how to do things differently.
Or maybe you’ve always struggled with communicating your wants and needs and are ready to learn how to have your voice be heard while still preserving your relationships.

Individual therapy is a time where clients get to work one-on-one in a safe and confidential environment to explore their feelings, beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Together we can identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, work through challenging or influential issues from the past, and set personal goals. Ultimately, you will be able to better understand yourself and the world around you, and work toward your specific desired change.

How does it work?

Coming to therapy with me allows you the time and space to focus 100% on you and your goals. I use an attachment perspective to help you better understand the whys and hows of your thoughts, feelings, and behavior and the ways that you can make shifts to help you achieve more of what you want and improve your relationship with yourself and the way you relate to others in your life. Using evidence-based practices in conjunction with research-backed psychoeducation, I can assist you in making the changes you are ready to make.

Together, we will uncover and face the hard truths and limiting beliefs that keep you stuck in your current patterns. Through honest and empathic, exploration (and the occasional f-bomb), you will learn how to let go of the beliefs, attitudes, and values that keep you stuck and no longer serve you and replace them with those that serve you in a healthier way. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and am interested in your experiences and your goals. I will support you to gain insight and build concrete skills to move forward through the difficulties in your life, in a more effective, satisfied, and productive way.
